Years ago I started researching my family history, and decided to find out as much as possible. So this website begins with my great, great, great grandfather. It is a continued work it progress, so if anyone has other information please email me at drod63@aol.com.
Sincerely,
David
Benjamin Rodery was born around 1775 in North Carolina. In March 1794, Wake County, North Carolina Court Records 394-227 ordered that Issac Hutchens, James Nutt, Ebenezer Hornsbee, Edmond Lane and Benjamin be appointed patrolers in Captain Hutchins district.
He married Winnifred Pool in 1799 in Wake County, North Carolina.
Benjamin was involved in numerous estate sales in North Carolina through 1800-1816.
He moved his family between 1816 and 1820 to Maury County, Tennessee where they resided and are found in the 1820 census. According to his Last Will and Testament filed and recorded March 24, 1829, naming all children as beneficiaries. The children included Calvin B, Sarah P, Washington B, Nancy, Elizabeth, James, Lucy, Benjamin, and Norry.
I have not been able to locate exactly where he is buried, but believe it to be in Maury County, Tennessee.
